Hi, I’m Misha and thanks for visiting my site.
I’m an author, blogger and incessant traveler based in Tokyo. I’ve worked in corporate, launched a venture-backed startup, experienced debilitating burnout, and know exactly what it’s like to run away from my own feelings.
My experience sent me on a path to rediscover my emotions and what’s important to me. This included 25 days in silent meditation. Nowadays, I write a long-form newsletter about everything from mental health to freediving.
Come join me on the journey.

This was easy to keep hidden at the time. Now she was in college, where people didn’t give a shit about your sexual orientation. It was ...
Quitting My Mojito Habit: Identity as an Obstacle to Achieving our Goals09/01/2020
A few years ago, I would go out frequently during the weekdays with friends and enjoy a Mojito (or twelve). This began to change once I started running longer distances and training for a marathon. Suddenly, I’m a marathon runner and a frequent mojito-drinker—although as you can see these two identities were a little bit at odds. ...

One day God calls on Jonah and asks him to go preach in the city of Nineveh. Jonah, being a big shot who thinks he knows better than God, ignores the request and attempts to flee by boat. God summons a turbulent storm that throws him overboard, and Jonah is then devoured by a giant ...
